Laila Ali was involved in a serious accident in Calabasas that left a pedestrian seriously injured ... TMZ has learned.

The accident went down Tuesday afternoon in Calabasas. We're told Laila accidentally hit an elderly man while driving through the parking lot of a shopping center. Paramedics and L.A. County Sheriff's deputies quickly responded to the scene.

Medics treated the victim on the scene, but he was eventually taken by ambulance to a hospital and is in stable condition ... according to our law enforcement sources.

MC Hammer Pulls Off Surprise 'Pumps & a Bump' ... For Ex-'Crack King' Bday

Published | Updated

MC Hammer had a special treat for the 50th birthday of Oakland's one-time "crack king" -- a performance that pumped up the party, and proved Hammer's moves are still fire.

The legendary rapper dropped in for the Bay Area gig to help convicted drug dealer Darryl Reed celebrate the big 5-0 last weekend. MCH danced and rapped his hit, "Pumps and a Bump" with the same tireless effort as he had back in '94.

Still 2 legit, for sure.

Folks inside the bash at Yoshi's jazz club in Oak Town tell us Hammer surprised everyone right after they finished singing 'Happy Birthday' to Darryl.

He did a couple songs -- not 'Can't Touch This' -- took some photos and bounced.

Pretty swaggy celebration for Darryl, who got out of prison in 2016. He served 26 years of a 35-year prison sentence before President Obama granted him clemency.

The pop-up, which is selling makeup and Kim's perfumes, is open for business through the holiday season.

Kareem Hunt Case Troubling Signals For Violence Against Women

THE BRUTAL FOOTAGE

Cleveland prosecutors have stonewalled TMZ Sports for days, refusing to answer a pretty simple question — what's the logic behind not prosecuting Kareem Hunt for brutalizing a woman?

The video of the incident is the kind of smoking gun prosecutors rarely get ... showing the former Kansas City Chiefs running back shoving and kicking a woman. We’ve made multiple calls to the Cleveland City Prosecutor's Office, asking for an explanation for passing on the case. We got nothing.

A law enforcement source in Cleveland told TMZ Sports the decision not to prosecute was rooted in the fact the victim refused to testify. Fact is, prosecutors commonly file charges in cases where the victim won't testify, if there's additional evidence to prove the charges. Like this one ... where there's video and other eyewitnesses besides the victim.

Think about it ... if prosecutors turn a blind eye just because a victim doesn’t testify, not a single murder case would ever be filed. That’s the absurd logical extension of such a legal standard.

The Hunt case is way more compelling to prosecute than most cases involving men who assault women, because most boil down to “he said/she said.” Here, there’s video ... video of Hunt kicking a defenseless woman. Yet charges were never filed.

The bigger picture ... there’s a much larger issue way beyond Hunt.

Cleveland's City Prosecutor's Office is sending a dangerous signal to the community: that men who assault women can brutalize without consequences, even when the evidence is overwhelming.

We will try again to get an on-the-record answer from the prosecutor.

Meghan Markle Baby Bump is ... Moonlighting on Date Night

Published | Updated

Meghan Markle and that baby bump are coming along -- it's noticeably bigger since the last time we saw her out and about.

Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex hit up a Christmas carol service Tuesday night at St. Luke's Church in London. Harry, ever the gentleman, led the way for his bride as they slipped out after the service and, BOOM ... there it was!

Her baby bump -- more of a belly now -- was perfectly lit under the moon's spotlight. She's reportedly around 5 months pregnant.

Last time we saw Meghan, she had on an apron and her baby bump barely showed. She's due sometime next spring ... but with the colder weather coming soon, she might want to start thinking about bundling up.

Tick, tock.

'ANTM' Alum Jael Strauss Dead at 34 2 Months After Stage 4 Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Published | Updated

Former 'America's Next Top Model' contestant Jael Strauss has died just two months after announcing she'd been diagnosed with cancer.

Sources close to the model -- who competed on season 8 of the reality show -- tell us she died in hospice Tuesday around 11 AM after taking a turn for the worse Monday night. We're told she'd been unconscious for a few days, and her family recently stopped allowing visitors.

Jael decided to stop chemotherapy around Halloween and went into hospice on Thanksgiving, saying on Facebook, "First night in hospice. So many things I never knew about life. Or death. So many things."

The model went public with her cancer diagnosis in October earlier this year with a heartbreaking Facebook post, revealing she'd been diagnosed with "incurable" stage 4 breast cancer.

At the time, Jael wrote to her followers ... "I was gonna write some long thing but some of you guys deserve to know, On October 2nd I was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer."

She continued ... "It has aggressively spread throughout my body and is incurable. With treatment it may prolong my life longer than the 'few months' doctors said I could make it. I don't want to die. I need another one of those miracles that I got back in 2013."

Jael appeared on Dr. Phil in 2012 to tackle her addiction issues, and celebrated 5 years of sobriety this past August on IG. Her caption read in part ... "I know a few things to be true: Miracles are real, Recovery is possible for everyone no matter how far gone you think you are, We are never too broken to be put back together, Service work feels better than the greatest high, Sobriety makes you weirder not normal and I'd be dead if it weren't for all the love and forgiveness I've been showered with by my friends and family."

A GoFundMe was started for Jael about a month ago that's raised more than $18k of a $30k goal to fund her treatment. Jael's family and friends tell TMZ in a statement ... "The one blessing was that we were able to show her how loved she was before she passed. She brought so much light to people."

She was 34. RIP

Hailey Bieber Rides Shirtless Justin for Shoot

Published | Updated

Hailey Bieber is ringing in that wifey life by riding her hubby, Justin, bareback. Okay, get your mind out of the gutter ... 'cause we're talking shirtless piggyback here.

The Biebers were doing a photo shoot Tuesday in the Hollywood Hills, where JB was giving the missus back-to-back (to back) piggyback rides ... most of which were done without a shirt on his back.

We know. You're wondering how many times can we say back?

Anyway, back to the shoot ... there were other poses the recently hitched couple got into ... like that classic model move ... the let's-spoon-each-other-while-standing-up-with-hands-at our-sides.

Love that one ... it's a staple for newlyweds.

Kinda awesome seeing Mr. and Mrs. Biebs running down a hill together with JB screaming at the top of his lungs and a leaf blower blasting to give Hailey that flowing hair effect.

Peyton Manning, Jack Nicklaus Pay Respects At George H.W. Bush Memorial

Those in attendance include Peyton Manning, Jack Nicklaus, Phil Mickelson, Mike Krzyzewski, Chris Evert, Jim Nantz, Fred Couples and Jim Calhoun.

The body of the 41st President of the United States is lying in state in the Capitol Rotunda until his funeral service on Wednesday morning at the Washington National Cathedral where his son, former President George W. Bush, will deliver the eulogy.

After the service, Bush's remains will go to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland and then to a ceremony at a church in Houston before he's finally laid to rest at a family plot at his Presidential Library in College Station.

Bush was 94.

Troy Gentry Deadly Chopper Crash Blamed on Pilot

Published | Updated

Troy Gentry died as a result of his helicopter pilot's error ... according to investigators.

The National Transportation Safety Board concluded the pilot cut the engine too soon as he attempted to make an emergency landing back in September 2017.

As we reported, Troy -- one half of the country music group Montgomery Gentry -- and the pilot were killed when they crashed in a field in Medford, NJ.

SCENE OF THE CRASH

According to the NTSB's report, the pilot's mistake led to an uncontrolled descent and instead of landing at nearby Flying W Airport, the chopper crashed in the woods. The report included dialogue between the pilot and experts on the ground assisting him with the landing.

The pilot had intended to pull off a maneuver he said he had done before -- cutting the engine and attempting to glide to the ground. However, experts had advised a shallow, run-on landing.

Troy was 50.

Lil Pump Detained Overseas After Flipping Off Cops

Published | Updated

Lil Pump flew a little too close to the sun and got burned -- he taunted police officers in Denmark, on camera, got his ass locked up and had to cancel a gig ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the rapper tell us ... cops in Copenhagen detained him and his crew Tuesday for an unknown reason. We're told someone in the group was holding something illegal.

As they were being hauled to the police station, Pump busted out his phone and began live streaming and flipped a bird behind an officer's back. We're told the cops found out and decided to detain him much longer.

As a result ... LP's concert Tuesday night in Finland's been canceled. The Live Nation website for the show says it's due to "unexpected events."

Our sources say Pump's expected to be released in the next 24 hours. So far, he hasn't been hit with any criminal charges.

The rapper's run-in with cops comes just 3 months after he was arrested in Miami. He was also arrested earlier this year for firing a gun into the door of his L.A.-area home.

Michael Avenatti Said Something Nice About Prez Trump!!! (Well ... Nice-ish)

Published | Updated

DOING SOMETHING RIGHT

Michael Avenatti didn't skip a beat as he paid President Trump a compliment. Yes, you read that correctly, but we admit it was a pretty backhanded one.

We got Avenatti hitting up Craig's Monday night in WeHo and wanted to get his 2 cents about Trump's plan to attend Wednesday's memorial service for former Prez George H.W. Bush. As you know ... Trump also paid his respects Monday in the Capitol Rotunda.

Trump is not expected to speak at Wednesday's service, but will meet privately with the Bush family. Still, the fact he's decided to honor President Bush has Avenatti -- perhaps the most harsh Trump critic -- giving 45 props. We're pretty sure it's the first time ever.

Also, it's official now ... we won't see them go head-to-head in 2020, because Avenatti said he's decided NOT to run after his family asked him to stand down.

Of course, he still vows to keep fighting for Trump's ouster from the White House ... and to rep Stormy Daniels "and others against Donald Trump and his cronies."

Cardi B Alleged Victims 'Angry' She Chose Beach Twerk Over Court

Published | Updated

Cardi B's got no respect -- for the law, the courts or the 2 strip club bartenders she allegedly had beat down -- and her Miami twerk session proves it ... according to the bartenders' attorney.

Joe Tacopina tells TMZ ... Cardi's no-show in court Monday was blatantly defiant and disrespectful, and he believes she's getting special treatment because she's a celeb. He says his clients, Jade and Baddie Gi, are "very angry" about the images TMZ posted Monday ... of Cardi twerking in tiger body paint while shooting a music video

Tacopina adds, "She decided not to show up for court because it was more important to take photos in a bikini in Miami. If any other defendant did that there would be a warrant issued for their arrest immediately."

As we reported, the judge wasn't pleased and issued a stern warning Monday to Cardi -- show up for court Friday or risk being arrested.

The hearing is for the August strip club incident, in which Cardi's accused of orchestrating an attack on the bartending sisters. She got arrested for it in October.

Tacopina says his clients think Cardi's court snub "shows that she thinks what she did is a joke instead of the crime that it is."
