Lorde has a funny way of picking and choosing countries in which to perform -- she canceled her show next year in Israel ... but kept her tour dates in Russia.

Lorde pulled the plug Sunday in reaction to backlash over her upcoming Tel Aviv concert next June, with some fans saying she shouldn't support what they call "ethnic cleansing" of Palestinians.

President Trump recently recognized Jerusalem as Israel's new capital, and stirred up a new wave of controversy in the region.

Lorde said in a statement, "i've received an overwhelming number of messages & letters and have had a lot of discussions with people holding many views, and i think the right decision at this time is to cancel the show." She adds ... "i pride myself on being an informed young citizen ... but I'm not too proud to admit i didn't make the right call on this one."

Lonzo Ball just won Christmas ... going full Big Baller style, copping a $350k Rolls-Royce for his dad, LaVar, and his mom, Tina ... and their first ride was caught on video.

Ball unveiled the new ride on his social media with the hashtag "It's the least I could do" ... though something tells us he knows he's doing the most.

Of course, the Balls aren't strangers to fancy cars -- all the boys push Lamborghinis -- but we're guessing Lonzo felt it was time his dad got in on the act as well.

We had our office car experts check the ride out, and it looks to be a Rolls-Royce Dawn, which retails around $350K ... good use of Lonzo's $6 million salary from the Lakers this year.

George Michael's family posted a message about the late singer one year after his death, and they want fans to remember him with "I Love You's" aimed at loved ones.

In a touching tribute message Sunday, George's sisters, Yioda and Melanie, his father, Jack, and his best pal, David, penned a letter on George's website ... explaining how hard it still is dealing with his death one year to the day.

As we reported ... George died last Christmas when his heart failed as he slept, and he officially died of natural causes. He was 53 years old.

George's family makes a specific request to his many fans ... raise a glass, enjoy his tunes, and appreciate family and friends. More specifically, they want people to say "I Love You" to whoever needs to hear it before it's too late.

They end the open letter with something George would often say ... Take Care.

A Harvey Weinstein project's the last thing most people want to go near these days, but one man fully embraced it ... Screech!!!

Dustin Diamond's getting back into acting in a debaucherous music video filled with sex, drugs, rock and roll ... and murder. He plays Weinstein in rock band TENLo's vid for their song, "Kill All the Things," and, as you'll see ... it doesn't end well for him.

We're told the vid was shot this summer in Milwaukee after band members Joey Zak and TomE LaBrosse reached out to Dustin and he dug it. However, the Weinstein angle was edited in recently ... for obvious reasons.

LeBron James sure ain't quieting down the noise surrounding him coming to L.A. ... and ex-Lakers coach Byron Scott says the odds are damn good that happens.

To be clear, Byron's assigning those odds to JUST the Lakers ... saying it ain't lookin' so good for the other team in Tinseltown.

BTW, Lentz is an actual ball player -- before he got his calling, he was a shooter at NC State. And he still has a lot of NBA friends including Kevin Durant, Tyson Chandler and Kyrie Irving.

'Notebook' director Nick Cassavetes is on the hunt for his 13-year-old daughter, whom he says has disappeared ... and he says it's all a diabolical plot by his estranged wife.

Law enforcement tells TMZ ... Cassavetes filed a police report. He claims Heather Wahlquist has been on the run with Barbie for the last month. He says he has ferociously tried to gain contact with Barbie to no avail ... her phone has been shut off and Heather refuses to take his calls.

Cassavetes has filed a crime report claiming Heather is violating their custody arrangement and has effectively stolen Barbie from him.

Cassavetes tells TMZ, "My 13 year old daughter Barbarella Cassavetes has gone missing, her mother repeatedly ignoring and disobeying court orders and stipulations. Heather Wahlquist is on the run, refusing to let me see Barbie, ignoring mandatory court appearances, and evading law enforcement."

Rapper Jim Jones got incredibly emotional after his mother's house burned down on Christmas Day but still managed to find a silver lining.

The rapper posted this video Monday as fire crews appear to have finished dousing the fire. Jones said he's incredibly grateful his family came away unscathed after the horrific event.

Jones said he bought the house for his mom back in the day ... and what's tough about the loss is that's the house where his son grew up. Jones captioned the video, "We can always buy new houses new cars new everything but we can't buy a new family."

The guy who gift-wrapped horses**t and delivered it to Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin's Bel-Air crib called the stunt an "act of political theater."

Robby Strong -- a psychologist from L.A. -- fessed up to Saturday night's stunt that triggered an LAPD response. Robby posted a picture of himself Sunday on Facebook and captioned it, "Who coulda done such a thing?"

Strong told AL.com the stunt was a prank in hopes of shedding light on how "Republicans have done nothing for the American worker." He went on to tell the outlet, "The thing I live by is a rule of transparency and I was exercising my First Amendment rights."

Strong, who also posted a photo of the girt-wrapped box filled with manure, said he dropped off a box to a home Mnuchin owns in Bev Hills and the one cops responded to in Bel-Air. The prankster also said the Secret Service came out to his L.A. home to interview him but did not arrest him.

The daughter of Eric Garner -- whose death at the hands of an NYPD officer arresting him over untaxed cigarettes sparked national outrage -- is reportedly in a coma after suffering a heart attack.

Erica Garner, who has become an advocate against police brutality in her own right, had a heart attack Saturday night and is on life support. The 27-year-old mother of 2 went into cardiac arrest and is reportedly unable to breathe on her own.

Erica is on life support in ICU at a Brooklyn hospital ... this according to the New York Daily news, which first reported the news.

Kris Jenner took a big chance with her annual XMAS Eve party ... she invited Kourtney's baby daddy and boyfriend and they both came.

The party looked pretty fab and just about everyone showed. In addition to Scott Disick and Younes, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie were all front and center. Rob was a no show.

As for Scott and Younes, our party sources say there was no drama, but neither spoke to the other.

We're told Scott was in a good mood and never touched a drop of alcohol.

You don't see Kylie in the video but we're told she was wearing a tight dress and was "obviously pregnant."

Babyface and Toni Braxton both performed. Among the other guests ... Christina Aguilera, Kyle Richards, Mauricio Umansky, Colton Haynes and Jeff Latham.

BTW ... Sofia Richie wasn't there. Probably a wise move.

LeBron James will NOT be denied when it comes to spending Christmas morning with his family ... even if he's across the country!

With the Cleveland Cavs gearing up to the play the Golden State Warriors in the Bay Area on Monday, LeBron FaceTime'd in with his family so he could be a part of the gift-opening on Christmas Day!

It's a good thing he did ... because the reaction from his daughter when she ripped open her presents is awesome!!

Meghan Markle is being fully embraced by the Royal Family, months before she gets hitched to Prince Harry.

Meghan joined Prince William, Kate Middleton, and her fiance for a Christmas Day service at the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in King's Lynn, England.

The Royal Family typically doesn't fully roll out the welcome mat until vows are taken, but Meghan has broken the mold. She was invited to the Queen's XMAS lunch last week and will spend Christmas day with her new fam.
