Steven Bochco, one of the most prolific creators of TV ever, has died ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the family tell us, the "Hill Street Blues" creator died this weekend. He had been battling leukemia for several years and put up a hard fight, but one family source says he finally just gave up.

Bochco carved out a specific area for many of his shows -- the law. His police shows were gritty and compelling.

Bochco has been responsible for groundbreaking TV, including, "L.A. Law," "Doogie Howser, M.D." and "NYPD Blue." His credits go on ... "Murder One," "Murder in the First," "Raising the Bar," and "Civil Wars." Bochco was a gift to NBC, providing the network with juggernauts like "Hill Street Blues."

Bochco has won 4 Peabody Awards and 10 Emmys.

He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.

Ronald Kessler -- who wrote his own book about the Trump administration -- says diversity isn't an issue in the White House ... just take a look at Ben Carson.

We got the author of the forthcoming publication "The Trump White House: Changing the Rules of the Game" in D.C. Sunday, where we asked what he thought of 45's Spring interns ... who are by and large white, save for a few folks of color.

Kessler -- whose book is said to be a counter punch to Michael Wolff's unflattering portrayal of the White House -- tells us Trump has plenty of diversity in his cabinet to make up for a lack thereof with his interns. Oddly enough, he can only name Carson as an example.

He also touts low unemployment numbers in the African-American community under Trump as a sign that the President's helping 'em out.

But then Kessler spits out this hard truth -- he doesn't care about diversity, just so long as Trump's hiring the "best people" who display competence. That's changing the rules alright.

If there was any doubt Justin Bieber is a true believer in Christ ... he just put all that to rest with a huge plug to his Lord and savior on the holiest of days.

Bieber posted an Easter message Sunday that confirms pretty much everything we knew about his renewed Christian faith. In the post he starts with ... "JESUS HAS CHANGED MY LIFE," going on to mention the true meaning of the holiday -- and it ain't about a bunny or eggs.

It's pretty clear JB gets down with JC -- he's at church quite a lot these days, and hell, even canceled the rest of his world tour last year over him. But this appears to be one of the few explicit endorsements of his religious views coming straight from the horse's mouth.

Aubrey O'Day's on a roll for Easter, but it ain't like the one that's happening at the White House this week ... not even close, actually. You seeing this, DTJ?

Aubrey posted a revealing photo Sunday just in time for Easter, which shows her bottomless and bunny-ed out, cottontail and all. She captioned the pic "egg hunt #happyeaster" ... and at first glance, you might not even realize she's surrounded by 'em.

As we reported ... the former Playboy model and singer has been mum on her alleged 2012 affair with Donald Trump Jr. in the wake of his pending divorce with his wife, Vanessa -- at least publicly she has.

However, she's been telling friends that she absolutely hooked up with him post-"Celebrity Apprentice," but that it didn't have anything to do with his and Vanessa's split.

Meanwhile, Trump Jr.'s been spotted being civil with his estranged spouse lately -- hanging out with her and their kids for Spring Break at Mar-a-Lago just a week ago.

Lil Wayne must really wanna bury the hatchet with his old mentor, Birdman, 'cause he showed up to the dude's soundtrack release party ... but didn't show up on the soundtrack.

Wayne made an appearance Saturday night at Studio 23 in Miami, where Birdman was hosting an album release party for the soundtrack to his new Cash Money documentary, "Before Anythang." Wayne posed for a photo-op with the label honcho.

Here's the kicker ... Weezy doesn't show up on any of the songs for the Cash Money soundtrack, which is ironic considering he's probably the most famous artist to come out of there. There's 18 tracks -- plenty of places for Mr. Carter to spit a verse -- but he doesn't rap on a single one. Still ... he stood shoulder to shoulder with Birdman like all's well.

As we reported ... Wayne and Birdman seem to be heading down a road of reconciliation as of late. They were spotted hanging together on back-to-back nights last week ... despite Wayne's $51 million lawsuit against his former boss. Birdman's even started calling him "my SON" again.

Melania Trump may be stealing a page from Hilary Clinton's playbook for Easter Sunday, telegraphing, "I'm with him."

Melania was flying solo in the days following Stormy Daniel's "60 Minutes" interview last Sunday, but she was right by Donald Trump's side for the Easter service at the Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, Florida.

D.T. and M.T. even held hands as Donald's daughter Tiffany looked on.

The Prez and First Lady will be flying back to D.C. for the traditional White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday. They spent the weekend at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach.

Anthony Davis thinks he pulled a fast one by revealing that he DIDN'T shave his unibrow -- but if we're being honest, he actually wasn't fooling anyone ... like at all.

Davis posted a follow-up photo Sunday -- April Fools Day -- which showed that he hadn't done the deed ... shaving his iconic uni. He captioned his pic, "Come on y'all!! Y'all knew I wasn't cutting it lol. #AprilFools We got ya!! @redbull"

Thing is ... tons of people online weren't buying what he was selling Saturday -- a video of himself getting ready to to shave the brow ... but then the camera conveniently cutting out at the moment of truth. Next thing you know, the brow had been split into two.

Justin Timberlake knows his audience, and the only thing that would make Cleveland fans go crazier than seeing him, is bringing LeBron James up on stage.

LeBron made a special appearance Saturday night at the Quicken Loans Arena, and he literally stopped the show. FYI ... it's the same venue where the Cavs play.

Seems like it was spur of the moment, because J.T. wrote on Instagram that he had no idea King James was going to jump on stage. Check out the video ... LeBron and Justin toast with small cups -- gotta be shots, right?

The booze appears to be a theme in J.T.'s "Man of the Woods" tour. He wrapped his first show in Toronto by handing out shots to audience members.

Fabolous got a big show of support Saturday night, hours after TMZ posted a shocking video showing the rapper raging and threatening his girlfriend and her father.

Fabolous joined Lil' Kim on stage during her set at Terminal 5 in NYC. There was solidarity in the crowd as they cheered him on.

The video we posted -- shot last Wednesday -- shows Fabolous flying into a rage at his baby mama Emily B and her dad. You see him brandish what appears to be a sharp object as he threatens to shoot them. He tells Emily B's dad he has a bullet with his name on it.

Police were called and a warrant was issued for the rapper's arrest. He surrendered to cops and could face charges of aggravated assault and making a terroristic threat.

Millie Bobby Brown must've channeled Eleven's superpowers when it came time to renegotiate her "Stranger Things" contract ... because she's getting an ENORMOUS raise.

Brown -- who plays the teen girl with psychokinetic abilities -- was scheduled to get paid just shy of $25k per episode for season 3 of the popular Netflix series ... according to her original contract, obtained by TMZ.

That would've been an increase of about $1,000 per episode from season 2, but as we reported ... the main cast of kids renegotiated and got fat pay bumps for season 3 to around $250,000 per episode.

Millie's raise is reportedly even more, though ... possibly as much as $350,000, which would match the salaries of the adult stars of the show, David Harbour and Winona Ryder.

That means for a 9-episode season 3, Brown could haul in as much as $3.15 million ... as opposed to the roughly $225k she'd have gotten in her original contract.

The Weeknd's lawyers want the real "Starboy" to please stand up -- as Eminem might put it -- 'cause they say it's definitely not the dude who's trying to jack the handle.

The singer's company has filed docs opposing Eymun Talasazan's attempt to trademark "Starboy," and they're accusing him of some serious shadiness.

According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Eymun is just trying to hitch his star to Abel's success -- which is why he filed his "Starboy" trademark, for use on TV projects, AFTER Weeknd's 2016 hit single and album by the same name.

And get this ... 11 days after Weeknd and Marvel Comics announced a "Starboy" comic book -- Eymun filed another trademark for comic books.

1:06 PM PT -- The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says they're investigating the collision between one of their patrol vehicles and a protester with an internal review. A rep for the department makes a point to add that the vehicle was traveling at slow speeds, and that it too sustained damage -- not as a result of the hit, but from vandals in the crowd.

A protester was struck by a sheriff's patrol car Saturday night, and the screams of panic that followed are chilling.

The woman was among the people protesting the fatal shooting of 22-year-old Stephon Clark. Cops say they thought Stephon was brandishing a gun, but it turned out to be an iPhone.

The protester was in the street holding a "Stephon Rest in Power" sign when a Sacramento County Sheriff's Deputy appeared to accidentally strike her with his patrol car.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders became just another Walmart shopper over the weekend.

President Trump's mouthpiece hit up the superstore Saturday in her hometown of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. She blended in to the crowd of shoppers, wearing no makeup and dressing super casual.

It was actually a late night run ... around 10 PM. We don't know what she bought, but she looked like she was on a mission.

Paul Marciano says he'll be exonerated because he knows something Kate Upton might not ... a story's about to come out that'll prove she lied when she claimed he sexually assaulted her.

We got the Guess co-founder out in Bev Hills Friday and wanted to get his take on Kate and her witness refusing to cooperate with an investigation by the Guess Board of Directors.

You'll recall Kate alleged Paul groped her breasts and thighs during their first meeting.

Paul says he's not surprised and says in a few days a Time Inc. article will prove him innocent with clear documentation.

Tiffany Haddish clearly learned her lesson, because she's locked up tight as a drum on the subject of ... WHO BIT BEYONCE!!!

We got Tiffany and her gal pals in WeHo Saturday night leaving El Coyote ... where it's always a party, fueled, of course by margaritas.

As TMZ first reported, Tiffany told friends Sanaa Lathan was the culprit who playfully bit Bey last December at an after-party for Jay-Z's 4:44 concert. Seems Sanaa was getting a little too chummy with Jay and when Bey gently schooled her Sanaa went all chompers.

Tiff threatened to pull a Sanaa if our photog doesn't stop grilling her.

Reggie Bush is crossing his fingers ... hoping his son chooses any sport other than football.

The former football great was in Hollywood Saturday night leaving Tao, when our photog asked about his infant son and whether dad will encourage him to hit the gridiron.

Reggie really opens up, hoping the kid will get involved in a non-contact sport. If he chooses football Reggie will support it, but he definitely won't encourage it.
