Alice Hirson -- a veteran TV actress with credits on a variety of hit shows in the 1980s and 1990s -- has died ... according to her son.

David Hirson told The Hollywood Reporter his mother passed away Friday at the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital in Woodland Hills of natural causes.

Alice started acting professionally on film and TV and on Broadway beginning in the 1950s ... though she didn't break out in Hollywood until the early 1970s.

A plane in Brazil was forced to make an emergency landing after a bird smashed into its nose ... and, from the size of the damage, many might wonder if they're breeding pterodactyls in the country.

Photos of the Airbus A321 have been released ... with a massive hole marring the front of the aircraft. Alongside the dent is a huge hole exposing the interior of the aircraft -- all caused by one bird, according to officials.

According to reports ... the LATAM Airlines plane hit a bird shortly after taking off from Brazil's Galeao Airport in Rio de Janeiro, heading for São Paulo Thursday morning -- and, it was forced to immediately turn and land back at Galeao.

10:41 AM PT -- We're getting more clarity on Anthony Ricco's departure ... sources with direct knowledge of the case tell us Ricco and Diddy's relationship -- or lack thereof -- became an issue. We're told Ricco felt he was unable to establish or maintain the kind of relationship he'd need to have with the client in order to "effectively" defend him.

It's still unclear why exactly Ricco didn't feel closer to Diddy.

Diddy's latest legal drama is on his own team ... less than 3 months before his federal trial, one of the hip hop mogul's attorneys is abruptly bolting from the case.

Anthony Ricco filed a motion Friday morning in the Southern District of New York federal court to withdraw as Diddy's counsel. In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Ricco states, "under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs, consistent with the ABA Standards for Criminal Justice."

He offered no further explanation for his departure, but did add that there are "sufficient reasons for [the] brevity" of his request. Ricco does say he's discussed the action with Diddy's lead counsel Marc Agnifilo, confirming there won't be any lapse in representation or delay with jury selection or trial commencement.

Team USA and Canada might have been locked in a heated battle Thursday night in Boston ... but both sides came together to pay their respects to the late Johnny Gaudreau, with the late hockey star's wife saying she got "emotional" hearing the chants.

The moment went down during the second period of action in the 4 Nations Championship match at the TD Garden in Beantown, with fans chanting "Johnny Hockey" in honor of the former Columbus Blue Jacket.

Gaudreau's wife, Meredith, responded to the chants with a post on X, saying, "Kept thinking about how I can't wait to show these videos to our kids one day."

DJ Khaled has become the latest celeb to receive a spooky black coffin at his Florida home -- this after Tekashi 6ix9ine got one himself at his mansion days earlier, TMZ has learned.

Khaled's creepy coffin was dropped off at his Miami residence last Saturday ... by two people who rolled up in a truck to a security guard, claiming to be from a delivery company, according to a police report.

After they were given permission, the two drove to Khaled's property and deposited the black coffin outside his gate. Scrawled across the coffin was "RIP OVO" and "RIP Drake" in white letters, along with an upside-down cross.

Former Congressman Matt Gaetz is hitting back at Alan Ritchson, accusing the actor of lying about them being adversaries when they attended the same Florida high school.

Gaetz posted a message Thursday on X, explaining that Hollywood had apparently changed Ritchson -- best known for his title role as Jack Reacher in the TV series, "Reacher."

Marty, Jerry's assistant and "niece at heart," tells TMZ ... he passed away from natural causes on Thursday night at his home in Chicago. Marty notes Jerry was suffering from Parkinson's Disease.

She goes on to say, "An amazing man has relocated to heaven. Our loss here on earth."

Steve Martin and Martin Short have been forced to cancel their next two comedy tour dates ... because Martin caught the 'vid.
