The letter introduced by Justin Baldoni's team claiming Blake Lively tried to force a statement of public support out of Taylor Swift has been struck from the official record ... with a judge claiming it's not relevant to the current case.

Judge Lewis Liman struck the letter from the official record Thursday ... ruling the letter doesn't actually ask the court to do anything and it's not important to the specific issues before the court.

In fact, the judge explains, it only serves to "'promote public scandal' by advancing inflammatory accusations, on information and belief, against Lively and her counsel."

Diddy asked Cassie if he had her permission to set up a freak-off ... and then she told him she was ovulating ... but appeared to agree on going forward with it if things remained PG.

The interesting exchange was raised Thursday while Cassie was being cross-examined by Diddy defense attorney Anna Estevao, who was going over text messages between the former couple.

Diddy texted Cassie, asking permission to set up "freaky fun," and her response was limited to one word -- "Ovulation" ... which sounds like a clear "no" to sexual intercourse. She previously testified Diddy did not want the male escorts using condoms with her during freak-offs.

Smokey Robinson is now the subject of a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigation after multiple women came forward and filed police reports alleging sexual assault ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... three alleged victims -- all female -- filed police reports against Smokey on Friday with the sheriff's department. The department's special victims' unit has opened a criminal investigation into the claims. We're told the investigation is in its early stages.

Our sources say investigators will reach out to Smokey to try to speak to him about all the allegations made against him in these police reports.

Megyn Kelly says she walked into a tame version of a Diddy party at the Met Gala back in the day, claiming she walked into the women's room of the museum ... and caught Diddy grinding on a Kardashian -- though a source denies that ever happened.

Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense attorney Anna Estevao asked Cassie to read a text she sent to Combs years ago ... Cassie read it out in court, "I love you, smiley face, I'll fly anywhere for you, I love you, Cass."

Affectionate messages from Diddy were also shown to the jury from early in their relationship ... which Cassie described on the stand this morning as "loving."

"I'm a very lucky woman, I miss you so much," she said, reading from one of the exchanges.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are paying tribute to a local icon ... the MLB team just dropped a sneak peek of their upcoming bobblehead night -- featuring the late Mac Miller.

The team showed off the soon-to-be collector's item Thursday morning ... which features Miller, rocking a Pirates jersey with the city's "412" area code, and wearing a yellow and black yin-yang cap.
