Iran Sports Minister Playing In World Cup Impossible After U.S. Strikes 'Under No Circumstances'
Iran says it’s not coming to the World Cup -- and the country’s sports minister is pointing the finger at the United States.
Ahmad Donyamali, Iran’s Minister of Sport and Youth, announced Wednesday that the nation cannot participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup after their Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed during the initial U.S./Israeli strikes during the opening moments of the war.
“Considering that this corrupt regime has assassinated our leader, under no circumstances can we participate in the World Cup,” Donyamali said on state television.
While the regime may be mourning, Khamenei was long called repressive and brutal by many Western countries and human rights organizations.
The sports minister doubled down on the stance … saying the war has made it impossible for the team to compete.
'SLOMW' Demi Engemann Filmed a Ton for Season 4!!! Even With 'Friend Of' Role
Demi Engemann may only be a "friend of" the cast in season 4 of "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" ... but TMZ has learned she filmed far more than a typical part-time player.
Sources close to production tell us the exiled cast member's role goes well beyond the usual drop-in appearances. We're told Demi was mic'd up for multiple events and logged significant camera time before her involvement eventually tapered off.
Demi starred in the first two seasons before being iced out of the "MomTok" circle after her friendship with costar Jessi Draper imploded. The rift followed a "Vanderpump Villa" crossover, where rumors swirled that both women were involved with 'VV' star Marciano Brunette while in relationships. Demi denied an affair, while Jessi admitted to hers -- fueling much of season 3's drama.
She later made a few intense cameos in Season 3, sparking speculation she'd return in a bigger way ... possibly leaning into a villain arc. Our sources say she’ll be popping up again this season ... just not in a full-time capacity.
As we first reported ... Marciano filed a lawsuit claiming Demi spread defamatory information about their alleged relationship. Demi has asked a judge to dismiss the case, arguing it was filed "solely to gain media attention."
Season 4 premieres March 12, and with Demi back in the mix, even in a limited role, the MomTok drama looks far from over.
Stay tuned!!!

Travis Scott, T.I. to SCOTUS Using Rap Lyrics To Give Death Sentence Ain't It!!!
Travis Scott and a handful of artists are jumping to the defense of a Black man in Texas whose rap lyrics were cited during his sentencing for a double murder ... which landed him on death row, but the rappers believe using lyrics to impose capital punishment is unconstitutional.
James Broadnax was 19-years old when he killed two white men during a robbery in Garland, Texas ... and in 2009, a nearly all-white jury convicted him and decided he deserved the death penalty.
Prosecutors introduced Broadnax's handwritten rap lyrics as evidence only after he was convicted -- during the sentencing phase -- and during deliberation, the jury twice asked to see 40 pages of Broadnax's lyrics.
